ZetaChain Mainnet is about to launch: Creating a new era of full-chain interoperability

With the continuous development of blockchain technology, Layer 1 and Layer 2 solutions have once again become the focus of the industry. Among the upcoming Mainnet Layer 1 projects, ZetaChain stands out with its unique concept of full-chain interoperability. After long-term testing and accumulation, ZetaChain has attracted a large number of users and developers, and has established partnerships with numerous projects. As the Mainnet approaches, ZetaChain is expected to witness explosive growth in its ecosystem.

Full Chain Interoperability: Bridging the Blockchain Divide

ZetaChain is a Layer 1 platform focused on interoperability between blockchains, with its core innovation being the realization of full-chain interoperability. This technological breakthrough enables ZetaChain to connect various blockchains, including networks that do not support smart contracts such as Bitcoin and Dogecoin. In this way, applications and smart contracts on ZetaChain can operate across multiple chains, achieving seamless flow of assets and data.

This full-chain interoperability addresses the long-standing "cross-chain" and "multi-chain" issues that have troubled the industry. Traditionally, ecosystems across different blockchains are isolated from one another, making it particularly difficult to effectively utilize assets on non-smart contract chains like Bitcoin. ZetaChain breaks down these barriers through its full-chain smart contracts and cross-chain messaging mechanisms.

ZetaChain's zEVM (the execution layer compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine) allows developers to manage all assets and data states across connected chains by deploying just one full-chain contract. This provides developers with a unified platform, simplifying the development process of multi-chain applications. At the same time, users can conveniently access various chain assets and data within ZetaChain.

In terms of security, ZetaChain adopts the Cosmos SDK and Tendermint consensus mechanism to establish a Proof of Stake (PoS) blockchain. All cross-chain transactions are completely transparent and verifiable. The network design ensures that no single node can control the private keys, significantly reducing the risk of asset theft. During the asset transfer process, ZetaChain uses ZETA tokens as intermediaries, further enhancing security.

Overall, ZetaChain adopts a simple yet powerful trust model that relies solely on its own network to transmit data and value, avoiding dependence on third parties. This architecture provides developers and users with a secure and reliable cross-chain interaction platform, opening up new possibilities for decentralized applications.

The ecosystem is thriving

ZetaChain is not only committed to technological innovation but also actively expanding its ecosystem. Since completing its seed round of financing in March 2022, ZetaChain has made significant progress in fundraising and partnerships.

In terms of financing, ZetaChain has received support from numerous well-known crypto companies and industry leaders, including early employees and executives from several top exchanges. In June 2023, ZetaChain completed a $27 million Series A funding round, attracting investors from various fields.

To support the development of the ecosystem, ZetaChain launched a $5 million grant program in April 2023, aimed at supporting full-chain dApp developers. As of December 2023, ZetaChain's ecosystem has expanded to nearly 200 projects, covering multiple areas such as DeFi, gaming, infrastructure, and NFTs.

A remarkable collaboration case is the partnership with the well-known multi-chain DEX, Sushi. Sushi currently supports over 30 networks but faces challenges in liquidity fragmentation and cross-chain asset utilization. ZetaChain's solution will allow users to trade native Bitcoin directly across these networks, eliminating the risks associated with wrapped assets and cross-chain bridges, while also opening up new sources of liquidity.

In addition, ZetaChain has collaborated with multiple security companies to enhance the security measures of the platform. In the gaming and metaverse sectors, ZetaChain has also established partnerships with several projects to explore the potential of full-chain GameFi.

The ZetaChain team is also actively involved in various industry events, including DevConnect, ETHGlobal Istanbul, and India Blockchain Week, showcasing its engagement in the global blockchain community.

Testnet Sparks Wide Participation

Since the launch of ZetaChain's testnet in August 2022, it has attracted significant participation from users and developers. As of now, there are over 2.66 million unique addresses participating in the testing, with developers having built 46,522 smart contracts on the testnet and initiated 14.08 million cross-chain transactions.

To encourage users to participate in testing, ZetaChain has developed a points system and partnered with several well-known wallets to hold testing events.

In October 2023, a well-known wallet collaborated with ZetaChain and its ecosystem projects to launch a learn-and-earn campaign, giving participating users the chance to share in a reward pool of 100,000 ZETA tokens. The campaign involved multiple ZetaChain ecosystem projects and attracted over 310,000 users to participate.

In November, another well-known wallet announced a joint testing event with ZetaChain, where users can earn the chance to obtain rare NFTs by completing tasks related to ZetaChain. The event involves multiple decentralized applications, and participating users have the opportunity to share a reward of 700,000 ZETA tokens.

These activities not only showcase the functionalities and effectiveness of the ZetaChain platform, but also reflect the broad acceptance and participation of the cryptocurrency community in ZetaChain.

Mainnet launch is imminent

With the Mainnet launching soon, ZetaChain's points system has been closed, but users can still view the leaderboard information. The Mainnet is expected to go live in the first quarter of 2024, and the team plans to host a Mainnet countdown AMA on January 30, followed by a full-chain summit at ETHDenver at the end of February 2024.

ZetaChain has opened airdrop inquiries and pre-claims. In the token distribution, ZetaChain has reserved 10% (210 million ZETA) of the tokens for airdrops, wallet activities, and community reward programs. This genesis airdrop will distribute 31.5 million ZETA to over 800,000 ZetaLabs users and contributors.

The launch of the Mainnet will be an important milestone in the development of ZetaChain and may trigger significant changes in the entire blockchain ecosystem. It will validate the technological promise demonstrated by ZetaChain during the testing phase and turn these concepts into practical applications.

After the Mainnet launch, ZetaChain will better leverage its full-chain interoperability platform to achieve seamless flow of assets and data across a broader network. This not only helps address the current liquidity fragmentation issue but also provides users and developers with a more unified and efficient blockchain experience.

For developers, ZetaChain simplifies the development process of cross-chain applications, which is expected to attract the birth of more innovative dApps. This not only enhances the appeal of the ZetaChain platform but may also give rise to a series of new applications and services, enriching the entire blockchain ecosystem.

The launch of the Mainnet is expected to attract more investment and user participation. With the rollout of new applications and the migration of existing projects, ZetaChain's user base and trading volume are expected to grow significantly, enhancing its influence in the industry.

As a pioneer of full-chain interoperability, ZetaChain's success could drive innovation in interoperability and cross-chain solutions across the entire industry. With the launch of the Mainnet approaching, ZetaChain and its community are at a turning point filled with opportunities, heralding a new era of blockchain technology applications.
